How many official trophies?
Real Madrid have 105 official trophies as of October 2026, according to the comparison table La Liga published in May 2026. That includes 36 La Liga titles and 15 European Cups — records in both. Barcelona sat just behind on 104 in the same table.
The club added nothing in 2025–26: second in La Liga behind Barcelona, beaten in the Spanish Super Cup final, out in the Copa del Rey round of 16 and the Champions League quarterfinals. Their latest trophy is still the December 2024 Intercontinental Cup.
Real Madrid trophies by competition

| Spanish Super Cup | 13 | 2024 |
| Copa de la Liga | 1 | 1985 |

The Intercontinental Cup row combines the old Europe–South America cup (1960, 1998, 2002) with FIFA’s new Intercontinental Cup (2024). Some sources fold these into the Club World Cup as 9 “world” titles — the total stays the same.
La Liga: 36 titles
Madrid won their first league title in 1932 and lead Barcelona by seven (29 after the Catalans won 2025–26). Their latest came in 2023–24 under Carlo Ancelotti. They have also won the Copa del Rey 20 times — most recently in 2023 against Osasuna — and the Spanish Super Cup 13 times, the last in Riyadh in 2024. See the La Liga page for every champion.
European and world titles
In Europe, Madrid have won the Champions League 15 times — five in a row from 1956 to 1960, three in a row from 2016 to 2018, and most recently at Wembley in 2024, 2–0 against Borussia Dortmund. Add two UEFA Cups (1985, 1986) and six UEFA Super Cups, the latest against Atalanta in 2024. Full story in the clubs with the most Champions League titles.
Worldwide, they have five FIFA Club World Cups (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022), three of the old Intercontinental Cups (1960, 1998, 2002) and FIFA’s new Intercontinental Cup in 2024, beating Pachuca 3–0 in Lusail, Qatar. At the expanded 2025 Club World Cup they went out in the semifinals to Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid or Barcelona: who has more?
The next question after “how many trophies do Real Madrid have” is always Barcelona. In La Liga’s count the gap is a single trophy, but the shape is very different: Madrid dominate the league, the European Cup and world titles, while Barcelona lead in the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup and old European cups like the Cup Winners’ Cup and the Fairs Cup.
| Competition | Real Madrid | Barcelona |
|---|---|---|
| La Liga | 36 | 29 |
| Champions League | 15 | 5 |
| Copa del Rey | 20 | 32 |
| UEFA Super Cup | 6 | 5 |
| Spanish Super Cup | 13 | 16 |
| World titles | 9 | 3 |
| Others | 6 | 14 |
| Total | 105 | 104 |
