An online soccer quiz game, no download
Looking for a soccer quiz to play with friends right now? Hajma opens straight in the browser at hajma.app — no download, no install. Just open the game, sign up for free and kick off. It runs on a smart TV, laptop or phone, so you can put it on the big screen and let the ref read the questions to the room.
The idea is simple: two teams battle over a board of six categories and 36 questions, the ref reads, reveals and judges in one tap, and the most points wins. Questions come in Arabic and English, one tap to switch.
How to play with friends
- Split into two teams of any size and pick a ref to hold the phone or run the screen.
- Name each team, and each team picks three lifelines before kickoff.
- Teams take turns picking three categories each — a six-category, 36-question board.
- The team on turn picks a 200, 400 or 600 point question; the ref reads, reveals and judges.
- When the board is cleared, most points wins — level on points is a tie.
Full rules are on the How to play page — including the steal (miss and the rivals can answer for all the points) and the hat-trick (every third right answer in a row is worth 100 bonus points).

The categories: more than plain trivia
Hajma has more than 90 categories in groups: clubs, national teams, competitions, leagues and legends; “Who is he?” rounds where you name a player from his photo, career or initials; picture rounds like the blurred crest and guess the flag; quick-fire rounds like the missing transfer, oldest-to-youngest and the buried number; and big rounds like the lie and describe-without-the-name. Each team picks what suits it.
Hajma also skips questions you’ve already played on your account, so every match is fresh. For challenge ideas, see 12 soccer quiz challenges.
Lifelines: three per team
Before kickoff each team picks three of five lifelines — and timing them decides close matches:
- Double points — Arm it before picking a question and a right answer is worth double.
- Point drain — Arm it first, and a right answer also costs the rivals the same amount.
- Snatch — Take the rivals’ question before they answer: right and the points are yours, wrong and they get them.
- Pass — Hand the question to the rivals to answer instead.
- Two answers — You get two guesses instead of one.
Group game or solo quiz app?
Most soccer quiz apps are solo: you answer alone and move from level to level. Fine on a commute, useless with ten people in the room. A group game turns every answer into a debate between two teams.
| Solo quiz app | Hajma | |
|---|---|---|
| Players | One | Two teams of any size |
| Where it shows | A phone screen | TV, laptop or phone |
| Who judges | The app | A ref from the room |
| Question types | Mostly multiple choice | Photos, careers, lineups and big rounds |
And because a ref reads and hears the answers, the game takes open answers: you say the player’s name instead of picking one of four — harder, and fairer.
