How many major trophies?

ChelseaChelsea have won 34 major trophies as of October 2026: 23 domestic, 9 European and 2 Club World Cups. They are the first club to win every current UEFA men’s club trophy — Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and Super Cup — plus the old Cup Winners’ Cup.

Counts vary online because some add two Second Division titles (1984, 1989) and two Full Members’ Cups (1986, 1990), reaching 38. We count major honors only, as most English media do.

Years are the year of the final or the end of the season. The first Club World Cup is the 2021 edition, played in Abu Dhabi in February 2022.

League titles: 6

Chelsea’s first league title came in 1955. They waited 50 years for the next, under José Mourinho in 2004–05 with 95 points — a Premier League record at the time. Titles followed in 2005–06, 2009–10 under Carlo Ancelotti, 2014–15 in Mourinho’s second spell and 2016–17 under Antonio Conte. That era was built on John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. See the Premier League page for every champion.

European titles

The most famous is the 2012 Champions League: a 1–1 draw with Bayern Munich in Bayern’s own stadium, won on penalties under interim coach Roberto Di Matteo, with Drogba heading the equalizer and scoring the final kick. The second came in Porto in 2021, 1–0 against Manchester City through Kai Havertz under Thomas Tuchel.

They have two Europa Leagues — 2–1 against Benfica in Amsterdam in 2013 and 4–1 against Arsenal in Baku in 2019 — and completed the set with the Conference League in May 2025, beating Real Betis 4–1 in Wrocław, Poland. Before that came Cup Winners’ Cups in 1971 and 1998 and UEFA Super Cups in 1998 and 2021.

Club World Cup: 2 titles

Chelsea won the 2021 edition 2–1 after extra time against Palmeiras, then the first expanded 32-team tournament in the United States in 2025, beating European champions Paris Saint-Germain 3–0 in the final at MetLife Stadium on July 13, 2025 — two from Cole Palmer and one from João Pedro — under Enzo Maresca.

The coaches behind the trophies

Chelsea have changed coaches often since 2004, and almost every one left silverware behind. The main names and their major titles:

  • José Mourinho: three league titles (2005, 2006, 2015), plus domestic cups in both spells.
  • Carlo Ancelotti: the 2010 league and FA Cup double, the club’s first.
  • Roberto Di Matteo: the 2012 Champions League and FA Cup as interim coach — then Rafael Benítez, another interim, won the 2013 Europa League.
  • Antonio Conte: the 2017 league and the 2018 FA Cup. Maurizio Sarri: the 2019 Europa League.
  • Thomas Tuchel: the 2021 Champions League and Super Cup, then the Club World Cup in February 2022.
  • Enzo Maresca: the 2025 Conference League and Club World Cup.

What happened after 2025?

Chelsea won nothing in 2025–26: tenth in the league, beaten by Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley, out in the League Cup semifinals and the Champions League round of 16. So the count stays at 34 major trophies as of October 2026. For comparison, read how many trophies Real Madrid have won.
