A quiz the whole family can play
The hard part of family games is suiting everyone: the grandparent who remembers the 1982 World Cup, the parent who follows the league every week, the kid who knows today’s players from video games. Team quizzes fix that — mix ages on each team and everyone chips in on the questions they know.
Hajma is a soccer quiz built on exactly that: two teams of any size, one ref reading the questions, and the game on the TV so everyone can see. Open it in the browser with nothing to download, in Arabic or English.
How a family plays
- Split into two teams of any size and pick a ref to hold the phone or run the screen.
- Name each team, and each team picks three lifelines before kickoff.
- Teams take turns picking three categories each — a six-category, 36-question board.
- The team on turn picks a 200, 400 or 600 point question; the ref reads, reveals and judges.
- When the board is cleared, most points wins — level on points is a tie.
Family tip: let a grown-up be the ref for the first match — the ref sees the answer and rules in one tap — then rotate so everyone gets to play.
Questions for every age
Every category has three levels: 200 points for the easiest, 400 for medium and 600 for the hardest, and each team gets one of each. Kids can compete on the 200s while the grown-ups take on the 600s. A few real examples:

Categories everyone enjoys
- Picture rounds: guess the flag, guess the crest, the blurred crest — great for kids because they’re visual.
- Arab national teams: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Egypt and Morocco.
- Legends: Pelé, Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldinho, and Gulf greats like Bader Al-Mutawa, Sami Al-Jaber and Yasser Al-Qahtani.
- Big rounds: describe-without-the-name (60 seconds, no names) and the lie, where one player defends a fact and the rivals judge.
Ideas for a family soccer night
- Ramadan and Eid nights: a match after iftar or during Eid visits — winners pick dessert.
- Before a national-team game: pick your team’s category and the opponent’s, then fill the board.
- A family league: one match a week and a standings table on the fridge.
- Parents vs kids: each side picks categories from its own era — and settles which generation knows more.
